FAITH FORMATION

LEARNING

Learning is one of three key components of Formation, along with Prayer and Fellowship

“When we don’t educate, train and equip a man who professes Christ, he will almost always become lukewarm in faith, worldly in behavior, and hypocritical in witness” – Patrick Morley; Pastoring Men

Good reading can help us on our personal spiritual journey. Our Catholic Tradition offers a great variety of books that can nourish our spiritual lives, beginning with the Word of God and the teachings of the Church, and the writings of the past 20 centuries that have deepened our understanding of various aspects of our faith.

The following guide may assist you in your reading selections.

Green = airplane reading, can be read more quickly, good introductory material for applicable topics

Blue = a more sophisticated presentation of the topic, requiring some additional reading time

Red = reading that requires a moderate commitment of time, supplemental reading recommended
